It was so awesome to photograph this African Cuckoo-Hawk on a recent recce for BBD. A massive thank you to Carr (one of the top guides in the Garden Route)from Reflections Eco Reserve(arguably the best "birder friendly" accomodation along the Garden Route) for showing us this beauty! Some excitement in the Garden Route when this Grey Wagtail was spotted near Hoekwil. This bird seemed to prefer showing itself in the late afternoon when there seem to be more insect life on the river. Luckily we managed to connect with it too. Thanks to Rupert Horley for a successful twitch!

The sighting had birding enthusiasts driving from Cape Town to tick the rare visitor that has only been recorded in SA about 20 times!. ...It breeds in the Arctic Tundra and usually heads to South America this time of year.
