Bluewater Bay Lifesaving Club

RUN, FUN, PRIZES, RAFFLES, HOT DOGS AND A FEW DRINKS

It is nearly that time of the year again that Bluewater Bay Surf Lifesaving Club has its biggest fund raising event of the year - the Running of the Bullsh*tters!

This annual event attracts more than 100 entrants that run (and walk quite a lot) a 5km route around the suburb, stopping at waterhole for "refreshments" before landing back at the club for prize giving and raffles and a "cold one" at the bar! Gourmet hot dogs will be on sale.

Then comes the music to dance away any stiffness and celebrate completing the 5km route.

Entry fee is R100. This gets runners a book of tickets for their "refreshments" at the water holes.

📌‼️TRAVEL RECOMMENDED ROUTE FROM PE - We would like to strongly advise you, your family, friends, and guests to please make use of the N2/N10 or Barkly Bridge access route if travelling to and from PE and Addo.
Not only is the route via Paterson well maintained but it is also more scenic and takes you past Nanaga.

MZANSI MAGIC HITS BLUEWATER BAY
The Bluewater Bay Surf Lifesaving Club was turned into a logistical hub for Mzansi Magic as they came to film on the beach for their TV seres Gqeberha: The Empire that screens on Channel 161.
About 40 actors and crew members quickly set up their wardrobe area, make-up section and even brought in two mobile changing rooms.
And what a pleasure it was! Actors and crew were all delightful people and were so organized that they did not need to ask for any assistance whatsoever. They even brought toilet rolls!
They filmed the entire morning and finished off with a lunch and by 13h00, they had packed up and left - after sweeping and mopping the floor around the feeding station
The Club was delighted to host Mzansi Magic and looks forward to seeing them again sometime in the future.
