Spreading smiles, one toothbrush at a time 🪥✨

Teaching kids about oral health while sharing smiles and laughter proves how little actions spark BIG change.

The Toothbrush Project: is a volunteer-driven initiative that promotes oral health education among children in underprivileged communities. The project empowers young minds with the knowledge and tools to maintain healthy smiles, fostering long-term well-being by addressing the critical need for basic dental hygiene.

🌍 Making Waves in South Africa 🇿🇦

With the return of summer we have had an incredible time teaching kids in township communities how to swim. 🏊‍♂️💙

For many of these children, swimming is more than just a skill—it’s about empowerment, safety, and fun. In areas where access to pools and lessons is rare, being able to contribute even a little feels like a ripple that can create waves of change.

The smiles, the laughter, and those proud “I did it!” moments made every second worthwhile. Seeing their confidence grow both in and out of the water was beyond rewarding.

Volunteering with Go With Khaya has been a humbling reminder of how much joy comes from sharing knowledge, love, and time. If you’ve ever thought about making a difference, there are kids here who would love to meet you!

Defying the odds and showing true resilience! 🐧❤️

We’re thrilled to share the survival story of yet another African penguin overcoming incredible challenges. This little fighter, the 86th African penguin admitted to SANCCOB’s Gqeberha Seabird Hospital since January 2024, came to SANCOB from Bird Island in the Eastern Cape. At just 590g, he arrived weak, injured, and barely holding on after an attack by adult penguins.

Despite the critical state of the endangered African penguin population, this chick’s recovery journey shows us the strength and determination these remarkable birds possess. Stories like AP086’s inspire us every day and remind us what’s possible with a bit of care and a lot of hope. 💪
