Amsterdam's PRIDE is a week long Celebration of diversity and certainly attracts interest and popularity amongst many nationalities!

Wonderful Amsterdam Pride.
If you are from South Africa, a schengen visa obtained will allow you to travel most European countries & cities (UK excluded)
Amsterdam is a culture rich city with much to do - taking a boat tour or taking a train to another city for lunch are some options.
If you speak Afrikaans you might understand key things in Dutch. (Gossip in Afr might be understood by them🤭)
It is summer in Amsterdam when SA is in midst of a cold winter.
Many of the older buildings are "leaning" because of timber originally used on the foundations - a bit freaky if u have ocd.
Some drugs are legal like ma*****na - if u don't like the smell avoid "coffee shops".
Currency is in euro (€)
Airbnb or .com are popular with reserving a place to stay - websites may also suggest places.
Amsterdam is definitely worth a visit!

To everyone that luv roadtrips ... driving to Capetown takes in average 14 hours. If you want to experience to beauty of the Karoo & Cape province ... make a halfway stop. Graaf Reinet is the perfect stopover.
Near Naude's pass is the "Baboon rock"...ever seen it? Looking down onto some trees ... seeing the long curious face & neck of a huge giraffe looking at you ... making the trees look like bonsai. The beauty of the Beervleidam ..and a special treat is to see it with water....
Getting back to Graaf Reinet ... I want to introduce you to the Queen Manor lodge, a Real jewel !
Affordable and beautiful... oh ..and breakfast is incl in the price...!
Route 62 is awesome (much better than the N1 with stop & go roadworks)
