From Friday, February 25, there are no longer any COVID-related border restrictions for travel to Iceland. All visitors are welcome, with no requirement for a PCR test to board aircraft, or testing or quarantine upon arrival. There is no longer a requirement to present a certificate of vaccination or of prior COVID-19 infection.

* NOTE: Foreign citizens who require a visa to visit Iceland must still fulfill this visa requirement.

A hike up Le Morne Brabant Mountain rewards you with stunning 360 views of the hills and the green forests, and the myriad of different shades of blue of the sea.

It is one of the most striking mountains in Mauritius and offers a dreamlike backdrop on the Le Morne peninsula but is also of cultural significance as it is a symbol of the slaves’ fight for freedom, their suffering, and their sacrifice. The many caves and overhangs were used as a shelter by runaway slaves, through the 18th and early years of the 19th centuries.

GOOD NEWS! Mauritius has announced that their borders will open to all countries on 01 October 2021, subject to all adult tourists (aged 18 years and older at time of travel) being fully vaccinated.

Furthermore, each passenger (including children and infants) must be in possession of a negative PCR test that needs to have been administered within 72 hours of the passenger's arrival in Mauritius. Further protocols have not yet been finalised.
