The ICF program was founded by Dean Linda Shea (Associate Dean and Professor). Isenberg Citizens First (ICF) recognizes that our students are citizens of the world, first and foremost, and that community matters and character counts in the context of a business career. The Isenberg Citizens First Initiative was designed to support Isenberg School students’ participation in positive efforts for our

University campus and local community. The goal for our future business leaders in Isenberg is to build their own character as an integral part of their career and professional development. As such, ICF serves as the umbrella encompassing all volunteer service endeavors by Isenberg students. Those earning the ICF Certificate are earmarked to our recruiters and are recognized during the Isenberg graduation ceremony. This Isenberg Citizens First (ICF), a program of the Isenberg Undergraduate Programs Office, encourages business students to volunteer within their community. By participating in service activities and working with non-profit organizations, students are recognized with the Citizens First Certificate. Isenberg Citizens First program is the first member of the broader Citizens First Initiative (CFI) that strives to maximize the positive impact that students from Universities across the nation can make in their respective communities.
