If you like your Saturdays filled with a city buzz, atmospheric spaces, gourmet coffee, deli-style food, jazzy music and interesting people, this is the place for you. Come for coffee or a late breakfast, hook up with friends or just come and browse for a well-deserved treat at the end of the month. We are open from 11am to 6pm, every last Saturday of the month. Described as an african urban experience, it merges the best of city markets with the flavours of South Africa’s Capital. Local entrepreneurs, designers, artists and musicians form the bulk of the market, promoting the talents of the people of Tshwane. With so many popular musicians in South Africa hailing from our beautiful city, the market aims to provide a platform of support for young emerging artists to gain exposure and showcase their amazing talent. For some, the vibe at the market is merely a welcome surprise, but for many more, it is also a proud display of the people’s city’s (often downplayed) creative offering. Market@theSheds takes place on the last Saturday of each month. It sometimes pops-up at other locations in between. There is an entrance fee of R50 before 14:00 and R100 thereafter. There will be tickets available at the Gate R80 - R150. Kids under 13 enter & cyclists enter free.

Kids aren’t allowed at the Sheds After Party which begins at 19:00. Parents with kids are advised to begin exiting the market at 18:00.

Free safe parking is available at 216 Sisulu street, 012 Central Parking. There’s alternative parking available at The South African State Theatre which is a 140m walk away from our main entrance.
