Good Morning!

Its Car Tips Wednesday.

Today we are looking at Tips to Keep Your Car’s Paint Shining On a Budget

1. Wash Your Vehicle Regularly
This one kind of seems like a given but we’ll gladly repeat it. Wash your vehicle on a regular basis, at least once a week. Even if it doesn’t appear dirty, there are always tiny dirt particles and pollutants from acid rain on the paint surface.

2. Use the Right Method When Washing
The rights method means to always have the 2-bucket system. One bucket will hold the car shampoo/soap and the other will be for rinsing the car.
That way, you can avoid transferring any debris into the rinsing bucket, keeping the water clean for when you rinse away the soap and debris on your car.

3. Use the Right Products/Tools

Dishwashing liquids contain harsh chemicals and strong concentrations of sodium that will harm the paint and could even cause it to chip if used all the time. Car shampoos on the other hand are specially formulated to gently clean your car and leave a very thin layer of lubrication that acts as an additional layer of protection. To go with the car shampoo, ensure you use microfiber cloths instead of regular rags. The rags can harden over time and scratch the surface more than clean it.

4. Apply a Layer of Car Wax Every 3 Months

Car wax is a simple method to add a layer of protection over the paint. Although not as durable as ceramic coatings, wax is much easier to apply and is friendlier on the wallet too.

5. Avoid Parking under Direct Sunlight
Not only do UV rays from the sun damage the paint but it can also lead to discoloration of leather bits and turn plastic trims brittle. So, if you can find a covered parking spot, we highly recommend you make the most of it.

Happy Monday!

We don't want confidence just for the sake of it; we want it for a purpose. We want it to help us achieve our goals, follow our dreams, or perform better in some domain of life, such as sports, business, music, the arts, public speaking, parenting, or socializing. Be confident this week.

Good Morning!

Its Car Tips Wednesday.

Today we are looking at How to change a tyre in 10 simple steps

- Prepare the car
Apply the handbrake and remove all passengers from the car. Take the spare wheel and necessary tools out of the boot.
- Position the wheel chocks / bricks
Chocks prevent the car from rolling while jacked up. Position a chock/brick on the opposite wheel to the one with a puncture.
- Loosen the wheel nuts
Turn the wheel wrench anti-clockwise and loosen the nuts to the point where they can be turned by hand (be warned – they may be tough to loosen).
- Jack the car up
Aim to position the jack at the side of the car, close to the punctured wheel.
Raise the car slowly until the flat tyre is 10-15cm off the ground.
- Remove the flat tyre
Fully loosen and remove the wheel nuts, then gently pull the tyre towards you until it comes free. Place it flat on the ground.
- Mount the spare wheel
Slide the spare wheel onto the protruding hub bolts, or in line with the wheel nut slots. Replace the wheel nuts and tighten them by hand.
- Lower the car and tighten the bolts
Use the jack to drop the car down slightly, so that the spare tyre is in contact with the ground. Now use the wrench to fully tighten the wheel nuts.
- Fully lower the car
Bring the car fully down to earth and remove the jack. Consider giving the wheel nuts a final check for tightness.
- Check the spare tyre pressure
If you have one, use a tyre pressure gauge to check the spare wheel is fully inflated. Alternatively, drive carefully to a petrol station and use the gauge there.
- Take your punctured tyre for repair
Visit a garage or tyre fitters at the first opportunity and give them your punctured wheel. They will advise whether to repair or replace it.

Good Morning!

Its Car Tips Wednesday.

Today we are looking at Car-Buying Tips

- Figure out your car budget
your first step is deciding what you can afford to pay for a car
- Narrow down your choices
Narrow down your options to a few cars that fit your price range and needs. Consider factors such as safety, speed, gas mileage, comfort, and how it handles in bad weather
- Do your research before buying a car
Look up the value of the vehicle to make sure the price is fair for that year and model.
You should also check each vehicle’s history report. This will tell you the accident history, repair information, potential recalls, and other important information about the car.
- Get a car insurance quote
Now that you know the kind of cars you are looking at going for, you need to find out how much it would cost you to get an affordable insurance to cover the car.
- Take a test drive
Once you're ready to get behind the wheel for your test drive, choose a route that allows you to experience different types of driving.
