Trout Cottage.

A rustic, restored trout shed that is perfectely imperfect. Trout cottage on Kromrivier farm. Originally built to process the trout that was being farmed.

Built just below the Trout dam giving you access to swimming Stand up paddling and night caps on the dam wall. The barn was built using old clay brick and Oregon beams and built just below the trout farm with a stunning view of the Riviersondend mountains. The barn has now been remodelled into a one bedroom cottage that is our home - Totally off grid. It is such an amazing place that we want to

share it with others.
30 minutes from Greyton 10 minutes from Riviersondereind

A typical day consists of:
1 Being woken up by the herd of Nguni cows as they do their early morning rounds. Birds singing
2 Coffee on the deck talking to the cows or taking in the amazing mountains
3 A stand up paddle (sups provided) on the dam (1 minute away)
4 Followed by a swim. Tea/coffee/breakfast on the deck or dam wall
5 Hike around the farm, do the 4 by 4 route or grab a book and chill next to the dam
6 If you into fishing the rumour is that there are fish in the dam
7 Afternoon nap hike or mountain bike around the farm/area
8 Braai on the deck or on the dam wall
9 Sundowners on the dam wall or on the sups
10 See the stars
Horse-riding guided walks or special picnics on Bokrivier farm. 10 minutes’ drive away
