As on all luxury cruise ships these days one is offered a choice of dining options included in the price. Aboard the Regent's ship the Seven Seas Voyager it no different with a choice of 2 specialty dining venues, Prime 7 and Chartreuse, the main dining room Compass Rose, the 'buffet' restaurant La Veranda, The Pool Grill for lights meals, the La Veranda which transforms to Sette Mari a casual Italian eatery and lastly the Coffee Connection for specialty coffees/teas and light snacks.
PRIME 7 is a classic American Steakhouse which offers expertly prepared steaks and seafood dishes... their Surf & Turf (fillet mignon topped with a lobster is their signature dish. By reservation only restaurant.
CHARTREUSE is restaurant that offers a twist on modern French fare with a choice of fine French Wines. By reservation only restaurant.
COMPASS ROSE is the main dining room that offers a different menu each evening or one can choose from a set selection of meat and seafood dishes with a choice of side dishes. It certainly is a quality dining experience.

So, what's there to do on a sea day aboard the Seven Seas Voyager? Lots, or just nothing... the choice is yours.
Besides the typical games that the entertainment staff offer and trivia, there are guest speakers that talk about all sorts of interesting topics. Typically, there is a speaker talking all about the destinations visited on your cruise, mostly covering the politics and history of the country. On our cruise we also had an interesting husband and wife talk about music and photography.
Aboard the Seven Seas Voyager, on deck 11 the pool deck they have a golf driving net, some mini putting greens, shuffleboard and a paddle tennis court. Of course, as on all cruise ships, they have a well-equipped gym and Spa/Beauty Salon.
There is also a stunning pool, well stocked library and great forward-facing observation lounge.

Aboard the Seven Seas Voyager now 8 days into our cruise we are only now starting to know all the nooks and crannies of this beautiful ship. One of these is the Pool Grill found on deck 11 at the back end of the swimming pool.
A famous chef once said the measurement of a good hotel kitchen is how well they can make a hamburger so this must also apply to a cruise ship. They make some mean burgers onboard, with main focus on those made at the Pool Grill.
The burgers are made to order, with a choice of 8 with a number of side dishes to accompany one's order, the best being simple fries, either standard or sweet potatoes.
It's a great venue to enjoy a great tasting burger accompanied by a cold beer, wine or whatever your tipple is.

On Thursday, 28th December 2023 we boarded the beautiful Seven Seas Voyager cruise ship in Cape Town Harbour. It took us quite a while to actually get on board after having to go through a face-to-face health interview which involved a series of questions mainly regarding COVID followed by being processed through immigration before we embarked before going through another process of check in before the final check in the Constellation Lounge where we were finally handed our room key and access card. Our rooms became available at 15h00 however the Verandah Restaurant and Pool Grill were open for lunch. We set sail at 17h00 on a stunning day bound for Walvis Bay, The images shown are of our ship heading out into Table Bay with the Table Top Mountain in the background, our suite and a beautiful orchid to welcome us.
