Went on a game drive in Pilanesberg yesterday and one elephant decided to come investigate our vehicle. Hope he approves the trusty Jimny😅🙌🏼👀
The absolutely amazing view from the top of the Amphitheater in the Northern Drakensberg! We got caught in a severe thunderstorm when we were on top, but could luckily take shelter in an old rock hut. After waiting the storm out for almost 2 hours, we were greeted with this magnificent waterfall! The Thukela falls, now officially the tallest in the world🙌🏼🇿🇦
Had to reverse the car for a few meters to make way for this elephant bull in full musth.
This is a state when bulls have elevated testosterone levels and can be extremely dangerous if closely encountered.
Signs to look out for are:
> secretions from the temporal gland (one can see the wet marks on the side of his head) and
> the urine he dribbles on the inside of his legs
(See the wet marks on the inside of his legs)
It is best to give these guys a healthy respect and make way for them.😬👍🏼
AWESOME sighting of the Mankwe pride right in front of us as we came out from the Mankwe bird hide! What a great surprise!🤩🐾
