The unit is located in the beautiful Shelley Point Gholf Estate, opposite the Shelley Point Hotel and Spa and a short walk away from the magnificent Golden Mile Beach that stretches approximately 4km. The Shelley Point Hotel and Spa is located across the road from this unit and has a spa, restaurant, swimming pool and gholf facilities (9 Hole). St Helena Bay is a short drive (17km) away from Paternoster where you can enjoy horseback riding, the infamous Panty Bar, beautiful little shops and restaurants that serve all things fish and everything else, and many more. St Helena Bay is the actual site of the 1497 arrival of Vasco da Gama, and a major fishing town. It is described as "calm and tranquil" as quoted from Potuguese explorer. It is the only area along the South African West Coast where the sun rises across the bay. The reason for this is its unique location. It is home to Sandy point Harbor - one of two ports in the bay (other being Laaiplek) on the West Coast of South Africa. In the winter it hosts many fishing activities, where snoek is found in its waters and well as endangered species of rock lobster and crayfish. Attractions among so many things in this special town include dolphin- and whale watching, sightseeing, shops, restaurants, and coffee shops. The Cape Columbine Lighthouse is approximately 19km away from St Helena Bay.
