Some amazing fish caught over the last couple days, all over the 3kg mark. Don't think just because its winter that the fish don't bite. The amazing thing about Jozini dam (Pongola dam) is that you are able to catch tiger fish all year round. Be sure to give us a call and we can plan some fishing adventure just for you. 082 085 8015 Stacey or 0729766002 Philip Tiger Hunters Tours & Safari's

The vegetation will slowly start thinning out and soon it will become much drier as well, a photographers ideal set up. Book in advance to avoid disappointment when visiting the region. When visiting a nature reserve and encountering wild animals, it's crucial to adhere to certain etiquette to ensure both your safety and the well-being of the animals.

Here are some general guidelines:

Maintain a Safe Distance: Keep a respectful distance from the animals at all times. For elephants, it's recommended to stay at least 100 feet away, as they can become agitated if they feel threatened or crowded.

Observe Quietly: Keep noise to a minimum and avoid sudden movements. This helps to prevent startling the animals and allows for peaceful observation of their natural behavior.

Stay in Your Vehicle: If you're on a safari or driving through the reserve, remain in your vehicle unless otherwise instructed by park officials. This provides a safe barrier between you and the wildlife.

No Feeding: Refrain from feeding the animals, as human food can be harmful to their health and disrupt their natural diet and behavior.

Respect Their Space: Do not approach or attempt to touch the animals. This can be perceived as a threat and may lead to defensive behavior from the animals.

Be Patient and Mindful: If you encounter animals on foot, such as during a guided walking safari, listen to your guide's instructions and move slowly and calmly. Avoid sudden movements or gestures that could startle the animals.

Leave No Trace: Dispose of trash properly and respect the natural habitat of the animals. Litter can harm wildlife and disrupt their ecosystem.

By following these etiquette guidelines, you can enjoy a safe and respectful wildlife viewing experience while minimizing disturbance to the animals, including the majestic elephants that inhabit these reserves.
