Apollo wristwatch calculator

British start-up Apollo Instruments has created a wristwatch calculator that replicates the Apollo Guidance Computer. The DSKY Moonwatch, shares the same interface as the briefcase-sized computers that were on board the Apollo spaceflight programme carried out by NASA in the 1960’s.

Tech on the farm

Developed by researchers at the University of Sydney, Swagbot is a custom agricultural robot to work with grazing livestock. Initially unveiled in 2016, Swagbot now features sensors, AI and machine learning systems to check the type and density of pastures and monitors the health of livestock. It uses data to autonomously herd cattle to the best pastures and move them before land is overgrazed. It can also feed data back to farmers.

The EcoFlow Power Hat pulls double duty as an on-the-go solar charging device. The sun hat has integrated solar cells that allow it to continually generate power from light exposure, which it can output through the integrated USB ports on the hat’s brim, charging your iPhone while walking around the beach.
