Based on a survey conducted by Beach Atlas titled Golden Beach Award 2024, there are 100 best beaches in the world selected conventionally, covering various aspects of what makes a beach exceptional.

This is the first selection that expands criteria including value to the local community, DEI, lifestyle, and cultural significance. This broader approach allows Beach Atlas to highlight unique beaches that are typically not included in traditional ‘best beach’ lists. Based on these criteria, the selection process involves travel experts and influencers from around the world to contribute their votes and compile this list.

The Bunny has arrived in Simon's Town for a relaxing weekend of chocolate, chocolate eggs and more chocolate. He will be hiding eggs in the Willets Hotel Simon’s Town courtyard on Sunday morning. Please hop over and help us find them. Friday Irene is baking a vanilla sponge chocolate egg cake. Sunday we have sweet and savoury pancakes and more chocolate egg cupcakes!

Jubilee Square will be abuzz on Saturday the 9th of December with the annual switching on of the Christmas lights.
