Some training in the Grand Canyon today for our upcoming Everest Expedition in March, April and May this year. From the South Rim down to Indian Gardens and back. 16 kms with 1000m of descent and ascent in about 5 hours. A great day out with Elizabeth and Yvette.

What is the best age to summit Everest? Data from the Himalayan Database between 2000-2021 show ages 30-39 with the best summit rate at 56%, and a low death rate of 0.14%. If you are over 60, it doesn't look good. But anyone between 30 and 60 has the odds in their favor for a safe summit if you go with the right guide.
