The Vision of Phaphama Initiatives is a society where peace does not simply mean the absence of violence, but rather the presence of dignity, integrity, self-actualisation, embracing of our interconnectedness and on-going personal and community development to eradicate poverty and to improve people's quality of life. Tourism:

- Community tourism in and around Soweto and Johannesburg
- Immersion - tourists are introduced to local families and have an opportunity to stay
with them for a number of days learning about their culture and tradition. We
specialise in areas like Soweto, Kwazulu Natal and Lesotho.
- Traditional and Cultural dialogues.

On Friday 2 December, Phaphama hosted 21 students and professors from DePaul University, Chicago, USA. We served them a traditional African lunch and gave everyone an African name, which they had to tell the group. After a discussion and singing and dancing the group left to their hotel.
