Our tours are leisurely and feature select destinations and cover this spectacular region in detail. The landscape of luxuriant valleys and rocky peaks is as much enjoyment as the fine wines and delicious foods on offer. Having grown up here Jim knows the area intimately. He is a wine maker and a CATHSSETA certified Tourist Guide, speaks Swedish and English and holds a Professional Driver’s License. Our tours are done in our new VW which can carry up to 7 passengers comfortably. The vehicle is licensed and insured for Public Transport and equipped with tripod, binoculars, reference books, ice box and bottled water. We strive to ensure that your trip is a memorable one. Our wine tours showcase some of South Africa’s best vineyards with a strong emphasis on heritage and includes a mix of the best of what the Cape wine route offers with respect to nature, wines and cuisine. Being in the historic heart of the country’s wine region with an elegant mix of 18th century Cape Dutch, Georgian and Victorian culture, this is a marvellous way to thoroughly explore the Cape Winelands. A full day wine tasting tour might cover anywhere from three to seven wine estates depending on your wish. In the middle of the day we stop for an a la carte winelands lunch or platter consisting of cheeses, olives and cold meats before continuing on our way. Half day wine tasting tour covers two to four wine estates depending on your wish. We usually sip lunch on a half day tour as wine tasting time is limited otherwise. We generally spend approximately 45 minutes per estate. Regional Tours. Our regional tours our popular destinations and more. The pace is leisurely with a strong emphasis on what the Cape offers with respect to nature, cuisine, wines and culture. This is a marvellous way to thoroughly explore the area and the pace gives travellers a chance to soak up the area’s fascinating natural diversity and to take in panoramic ocean vistas, pristine beaches, towering cliffs, wild bays and quaint waterfront villages. TIA (This is Africa) Our tours are done at a relaxed pace with a focus on your enjoyment, learning and relaxation. All tours can be done on a private or shared basis.
