Take note of New Airport Rules & Regulations:

ARRIVAL AT AIRPORT
- Only Passengers Allowed in the terminal, no meet & greet
- Baggage wrapping for checked in baggage compulsory
- Physical distancing applies where possible
- Face mask to be worn through airport & on flight
- Passengers to produce necessary documents to be allowed access to the airport (ID, ticket, travel permit)

CHECKING IN
- Recommended that passengers check in online prior to arrival
- Arrive at the airport at least two hours prior as queues will be long

SECURITY CHECK POINT
- Passengers will scan their own boarding pass at security scanners
- Required to remove any metal or electronic items from themselves before entering the security queue
- Only every second scanner will be used, so more time will be needed at security check points

BOARDING & DIS-EMBARKING
- Passengers to scan their own boarding pass at boarding gate
- Phased boarding so that rows are filled from the back first
- Masks to be worn for the duration of the flights, dis-embarking and when collecting luggage

Nine Yards Travel was invited to Matjiesfontein courtesy of African Inspirational Marketing and Future Coaches Cape, to explore what the quaint town had to offer.
Matjiesfontein is a town that has preserved its original Victorian Charm, apparent from the first moment you step out of your vehicle. Greeted by locals playing music in the one street that makes up the entire town, you would be hard-pressed to find a more authentically historical accommodation than the Lord Milner Hotel.

Visit the Village Office and Bank, and the Transport Museum to truly experience the rich heritage. We were also treated to a tour of the town via vintage bus, which still had wooden panelling and classic vintage advertisements plastered to the walls.

We would highly recommend visiting the charming Matjiesfontein, for a breakaway that feels like you've travelled back in time.

We spent an incredible evening at Majeka House, a 5 star boutique hotel in Stellenbosch, home to the renowned Makaron Restaurant. The semi-private crisp pool between two rooms is a stand-out feature, as well as the heated pool and whirlpool bath.
