To all our colleagues, friends and travellers in Namibia.
🇳🇦 Happy Independence Day 🇳🇦
Our country, our economy, our tourism industry has experienced significant ups and downs over the past two years ... to say the least.
As we celebrate Human Rights Day, let us think of those who have been less fortunate than ourselves. Those that have experienced the pandemic and the economic ramifications, far worse than ourselves.
Together, we can rebuild the our tourism industry, our economy and our country. Putting people first. Ensuring that a fair, equitable and dignified transaction takes place at all times.

Epupa Drought Relief
This week we got to spend some time with Kaokoland legend, Koos Verwey, and got a glimpse of life along the Cunene River. The sad reality is that the region has been experiencing a crippling drought for the past 8 years and if they dont recieve rain this year, things will take a nasty turn for the nomadic people of this unforgiving landscape. For a place this far removed from the outside world, our story is an important one to tell.
Please take a look and support if you can, they need all the help they can get!

Phalaborwa 360 / Tebogo Mametja
While on a recent trip to the wild heart of Ba-Phalaborwa we met up with local creative Tebogo S Mametja, we were so inspired by his story that we had to share it.
Tebogo is a self taught photographer and film maker with a burning passion for telling the stories of Limpopo and it shows. From a young age he nurtured this passion by watching his father and grandfather, also photographers, at work. Since then he knew...photography was his calling. Dropping out of school to pursue his dream, he spent some time in the cities and soaked up all the experience he could get, collaborating, and working with some big guns in the industry.
Luckily for us, this cretive force has now returned to Ba-Phalaborwa with a goal...not just to take pictures but to capture the soul of Limpopo.
If you want to connect with Tebogo, give him a like, love or follow and check out his website.

Wegraakbosch Organic Farm & Dairy / Magoebaskloof
Wegraakbosch Organic Farm and Dairy in Magoebaskloof is all about working with nature and not against it...understanding that to truly live sustainably, we need to be one with nature rather than seeing ourselves as separate.
In this time, it couldn’t be more poignant...we are getting back to our roots and seeing the value of those who are producing healthy, organic food and taking care of the earth.
Come closer and fall in love with Limpopo!

The Rhino Rangers of Namibia
Our planet is losing species on a daily basis and the Black Rhino is probably one of the world's most endangered. Between 1960 and 1995, their numbers dropped by a horrifying 96.7%, mainly as a result of poaching for their horns.
Today, Namibia’s desert-adapted Black Rhino of Damaraland are the world's largest population, living on communal land and therefore without fences in the stark northwestern landscapes of the country.
In the face of these statistics then, what a privilege to stand in the footsteps of the field-workers, rangers and conservationists who have dedicated their lives, staying true to their passion to protect our natural world.
The world as we know it has been turned upside down by Covid-19 in the past few months, grinding the tourism industry to a global standstill. The conservation drive in Namibia is one that relies heavily on tourism to support communities who protect and manage their natural resources through additional income generated from immersive experience like this.
Here’s where the Rhino Rangers need your help. In order to keep their eyes on our Rhinos at a time when poaching is increasing and the threat of loosing yet another species is very real, they need assistance with fuel for their vehicles to do field patrols in the vast areas of the north west; field rations to keep them strong and sighting payouts which they receive on top of a small stipend for every Rhino successfully spotted and identified.
You can support this cause by making donations directly through Save the Rhino Trust Namibia. Please specify that your donation is to support the Rhino Rangers of Namibia. Now is the time that we need to come together to protect our planet’s resources. Every one of us can make a difference no matter how small to help secure a future for the world’s last truly wild black rhino population.
