The Canaan Academy visited the Centre. The learners attend our science show where they learned about the science behind music and chemical reactions, they all participated and showed so much enthusiasm during the science show. They proceed to our big laboratory room to do a hands on workshop of the rate of absorption.

The Nokwezi Combined Primary School Grade 4 - 6 visited the Centre, the learners attended our Science show where they learned about the science behind music 🎸🥁🎻🎼and chemical reactions ⚗️🧪. Stakeholder engagement at the MBDA operated Nelson Mandela Bay Science & Technology Centre in Kariega.
Board Chairperson Ms Glenda Perumal and Mr Zola Antonie from merSETA visited the Centre for an insightful discussion on future investment opportunities. Centre manager Singa Poswa was there to facilitate the site visit.
The focus of our discussion was on transforming the Centre into an 4IR/Innovation hub and advancing our programmes to empower the youth and community.
The goal is to ensure that the Science & Technology Centre remains at the forefront of technological education and economic development in the Nelson Mandela Bay.
The Centre visited the following schools to conduct Electric Circuit practical.
VM Kwinana Secondary School Grade 9 and Grade 11, Masiphathisane Senior Secondary School Grade 12 and Tyhilulwazi High School.

Our team had an incredibly successful meeting with Mr. E. Mola from the Department of Higher Education. They discussed the rollout of the Artisan Development Career Programme, with the Nelson Mandela Bay Science Centre as the implementing partner.
We can't wait to embark on this journey and create a fruitful partnership with the DHET!
The Centre today hosted a Day Camp to prepare the learners for the coming Regional Science Expo.
The IDF in Collaboration with Science Centre hosted the Youth Summit in Kwanobuhle Babs Madlakane Hall. The youth of Kwa-Nobuhle came out in numbers. A very informative and educational information was shared with the youth by different speakers from different organizations.
The Centre will not be hosting the Holiday programme during June holidays, due to the construction work taking place inside the Science Centre.

[1/2] The NMBSTC has been working with a team of six learners from five schools on the robotics programmes (known as the LEGO League). The teams have been attending on a weekly basis & follow a set lesson plan in the construction of their Spike robots. In April, we were proud to host Swartkops Primary who built & demonstrated how a mini LEGO vehicle can do if commanded correctly & proper components are in place for functional purposes. The learners enjoyed the experience & engaging with the computational elements of the programme. It was also a great honour for the Science Centre to receive a complimentary letter from one of the learners, Mr. Norman Msaka, who formed part of the programme from Swartkops Primary. The NMBSTC is always grateful to receive such responses as it reminds us as to why we exist and our role in shaping as well as cultivating passion for science, technology and innovation.
