The Canaan Academy visited the Centre. The learners attend our science show where they learned about the science behind music and chemical reactions, they all participated and showed so much enthusiasm during the science show. They proceed to our big laboratory room to do a hands on workshop of the rate of absorption.

The Nokwezi Combined Primary School Grade 4 - 6 visited the Centre, the learners attended our Science show where they learned about the science behind music 🎸🥁🎻🎼and chemical reactions ⚗️🧪. They then proceeded to our big Laboratory room where they did a hands on workshop based on Rate of absorption 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬.

Stakeholder engagement at the MBDA operated Nelson Mandela Bay Science & Technology Centre in Kariega.

Board Chairperson Ms Glenda Perumal and Mr Zola Antonie from merSETA visited the Centre for an insightful discussion on future investment opportunities. Centre manager Singa Poswa was there to facilitate the site visit.

The focus of our discussion was on transforming the Centre into an 4IR/Innovation hub and advancing our programmes to empower the youth and community.

The goal is to ensure that the Science & Technology Centre remains at the forefront of technological education and economic development in the Nelson Mandela Bay.

The 2025 DSI-NRF Honours funding call is now open for applications. Please note the following:
- Applicants must consult the NRF’s official documents via this link before sending queries or submitting applications: https://www.nrf.ac.za/announcement-of-call-nrf-postgraduate-scholarships-honours-general/

- The NRF DOES NOT support postgraduate diplomas, certificates or courses.
- If an applicant is not eligible to apply for Honours (as per the info supplied by the applicant on the system), the option to apply will not become available.
- NRF funding calls are competitive and awards are based on available budget
- Honours applicants requiring ISFAP assessment should submit their applications before 02 September 2024.
