I'm so chuffed with this picture I took on the way home from work yesterday. Captured all seasons in 1. The tree is all dead on the left, but full of new growth on the right. The sun shining brightly on the left while a pending storm is brewing on the right. Pretty much sums up the weather here in Curry's Post 😆

Far Away Place is now officially getting most of its energy from our Sun. Just love our new solar system. Not only getting enough power to run the entire farm, but also giving a little back to the eskom grid. On average saving 14kg of coal every day and reducing our carbon footprint by 42kg. 😎😎😎

Final approach this gorgeous Winter evening at A Far Away Place … what a change from the 9knot cross wind we had to land in this morning. 😎

A Secret Hideway In The Heart Of The KZN Midlands

“Far Away Place” is gay-owned, luxury holiday cottages in the heart of the KZN Midlands Meander. We feature a 2 two bedroom cottage (one bedroom a loft room) with views to a beautiful dam, and a 3-bedroom cottage (two private, and 2 singles beds in a loft area) - both offer TROUT FISHING, a huge Pine forest & the mountains of the Karkloof. We are 5km on the old Curry's Post Road from Terbodore Coffee & a short 12km drive into Nottingham Road. We are social people, love our dogs (we have 6 of them - 5 Dachshunds (Smooch, Chino, Toffee. Peanut and Wimpy) and our SPCA special - Lady) - so if dogs are not for you, then our cottages is not recommended.

We will soon be offering pilots and adventurers the opportunity to also FLY into our destination and accommodation with our 750m long runway nearing completion.
