A long weekend AND the possibility of snow?!

At Tin Can Trout Farm just outside Underberg in KZN, our off-grid cabins are well equipped for the weather with indoor wood burning fireplaces and extra thick blankets.
Our cabins are set on a smallholding alongside the Mzimkulu River which is flowing well after all the rain and snow that fell in Lesotho recently.
For the angler, the trout are biting, so don't forget your fly tackle.
For the hikers, we have some gentle hikes on the property, as well as prolific bird life for the twitchers.
Nearby attractions include the Himeville Fort and Museum, Riechenau Mission, Sani Pass, Lotheni, Rhino Peak, Hippo Pools, farm stalls, horse riding and more.

It's a rather chilly 3°c at Tin Can Trout Farm today, but that's no problem because our cosy units have wood stoves and extra thick and snuggly blankets to keep our guests warm.
We wouldn't suggest a swim in the river today, but on sunnier days the water is beautifully clear and the riverside picnic spot is perfect for lazy family get togethers. The trout are biting, so don't forget to bring your fly tackle!
The Sani Stagger is coming up soon and our twin cabins (there are 4 of these) offer the perfect solution to affordable self catering accommodation for team mates looking for a base for the weekend.

South Africa My Best it was a privilege to meet you both. Such energy and love for life 💕

Tin Can Trout Farm, a spot with a difference. Glamping for two. Located on the outskirts of Underberg it was a wonderful stopover on our recent mini road trip to the Southern Drakensberg.
Peaceful place to enjoy the countryside and the sunset sure didn't disappoint!
