Evelyn House Retirement Home is situated in a beautiful garden in the country Village of Richmond, KZN, not far from Pietermaritzburg. Established in 1938, it is owned and managed by the Federation of Women’s Institute. Evelyn House offers independent living in stand alone cottages, suits or rooms with shared bathroom facilities, assisted living and care facilities.
It has an active hobbies club and encourages keen gardeners.

I have started an experimental page on Facebook called Showcasing South Africa to the World. This is my attempt to lure foreign tourists to South Africa by educating them about our beautiful country.

South Africans can follow this page but the idea is for you to be patriotic about South Africa and invite people you know that lives abroad. Or follow the page and help me by tagging people in the comments section when I post.

Guests enjoying this beautiful Autumn weather with their dogs . Doggies paradise to run freely, swim in river and dams, just having a doggie holiday. Of course, their humans love it too! As we move into late Autumn and Winter months, a visit to House at Glengariff definitely ticks all the boxes for a relaxing farmstay experience . The perfect place for a group of family / friends ( I do welcome smaller groups too! )and your four legged family. They too deserve a getaway to a place where humans and animals find happiness.

We are so proud of how many wonderful people in our community have come together to help make a difference! ✨

We will be wrapping up this project on the weekend of the 18th + 19th of May so that the blankets can start being distributed. We have the trusty Hilton Round Table assisting us with the distribution - and we will keep you with us on the journey! ✨

Every blanket makes a difference so please still drop off at Piggly Wiggly Coffee Shop, or bring the weekend of.

Don’t forget every Wednesday until then there is a special of 1 x hot drink for those first three squares.
