"A beautiful place at the waters edge, quiet, scenic mountains behind the cottage. Very clean, comfortable beach cottage with everything you need and set up for relaxing and holidaying. Great snorkeling and swimming spot. Loved the outside Braai and shower. Thank you Sue for sharing your holiday home."

"If I could give 10 stars for location, this lovely cottage would get it! A cosy family cottage that suited all our needs. Lovely original artwork and ceramics decorate The Lobster Pot and differentiate it from so many cookie cutter cottages. The beach and rocks are great for swimming and "Octopus teacher" rockpools make this cottage heavenly. Thank you, Sue, for your lovely warm welcome and letting us share your idyllic holiday cottage."

We are so excited to hear about the well deserved Oscar won by the brilliant Octopus Teacher team! You have shown so many people the beauty that lies within the Cape's magical coast line. We cant wait to go find Octopus and crustacean friends in our little kelp forest in front of the cottage🐙
Another beautiful Easter weekend down at Lobster Pot shared with special family, friends and Flossy our Easter bunny
"The location is spectacular, if you want a place that is private and where you can stare at the sea (and explore it) all day long, this is it. Makes you feel a million miles away from the rush of the city, what a treat. Sue is lovely and easy to communicate with."

"This house is a little gem, tucked between a marine reserve and wild untouched wilderness, the water was exquisitely clear and we were visited daily by a humpback whale feeding languidly in the shallows. We loved the house itself with its holiday charm, well equipped kitchen, amazing books and games, and wonderfully welcome response from Sue to our questions and requests."
Airbnb Review - October 2019
"The location of this house with its amazing view cannot be better. The house has a warm, friendly atmosphere and Sue is a friendly helpful host. It is great to find a spot with such an amazing view that is not in an area overrun with tourists! We all loved it and will definitely be back! "

"Situated right on the the seafront with spectacular views. Both an undercover gas braai and an open wood braai ensures you won't need to resort to to kitchen cooking. But if you did, everything you need, and more, is available. The bedrooms are large. 2 have double doors that open up directly facing on to the sea. With few houses around, there is a tranquility and stillness that one is seldom lucky enough to experience. Nestled against a fynbos hill, few places can match this setting."

"Unforgettable weekend in this protected piece of marine paradise. We snorkelled in the magical kelp forest out front but unfortunately didn't manage to connect with our Octopus Teacher. However, the baboons taught us a thing or two about leaving the kitchen windows open. Thank you, Sue!"

"This is a truly magnificent gem of a spot where the mountains and ocean meet. Myself and family thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away and are already planning when we can return! From the gorgeous collection of pottery in the kitchen to the cosy atmosphere, all the books and board games to the close proximity to the sea, the little beach and the beautiful boulders, this is indeed a special place. Thank you to Sue for opening her magical house to us. We will be back!"

The tranquility of this simple and unpretentious cottage is unparalleled. It was a privilege to stay in such a spectacular part of the Cape. The visiting seal and baboons were a reminder of the wild beauty of the Cape's coastline. We cannot wait to go back!
