Despicable. Trophy hunters kill another alpha male near Hwange in the same area as Cecil was killed in 2015 and arranged by the same hunting outfit, South Africa-based Chattaronga Safaris. The lion was baited and wounded with an arrow from a bow, before being killed up to 24 hours later. The worst part is it was all legal!

As canned lion hunting and captive breeding is curtailed in Southern Africa, it's heartening to see the breeding stock is being spread across Africa to shore up lion populations across the continent.
