Chalet Pumba

Warm, inviting with plenty of personality.

Our stay was very short notice as another chalet was not really our cup of tea. The host made arrangements for us the same morning and we switched over to the accommodation. The unit was very inviting, comfortable and we felt very safe. We didn't feel like we were missing anything, especially when you consider how reasonable the price was. Ons het die naweek so baie geniet en wil net se , die Pumba Chalets was die lekkerste , mooiste en skoonste eenheid wat ons nog ooit by gebly het in Mabalingwe! Baie dankie vir die gasvryheid ! Ons sal beslis weer boek by Pumba Chalets!

Peaceful, clean, value for money and enjoyed the animals Will definitely visit them again. Great value for money, really enjoyed the week. Lovely unit, enjoyed the animals.

Pumba Lodge is goed geleë, naby die winkels, speelpark en swembaddens.
Ons verblyf by Pumba Lodge was van begin tot einde heerlik. Die blyplek is klein, maar baie goed toegerus en gerieflik. Dit was ook baie rustig tussen die mooi plantegroei, voëls en diere. Ek kan dit aanbeveel vir 'n baie lekker wegbreek van die stad se gewoel.

A lovely chalet with all you need to enjoy a very comfortable stay. It was clean and tidy upon our arrival. It has its own private little lapa overlooking a spruit at which we saw Nyala and Kudu come down for a drink. The patio too has a lovely view - beautiful trees to provide shade in which Vervet Monkeys play and superb for bird viewing. Walking distance to the pool area and farm shop (putt putt, tennis courts, coffee & curio shop there too). Brigit Becker: Nov 2023

Prakties en netjies.
Ons het ons verblyf baie geniet. Die eenheid is goed ingerig en netjies met aankoms. Selfs die olifante het daar kom kuier. Dit is lekker sentraal geleë naby winkels, 'n swembad, restaurante, ens. Hier kan jy die vrede van die bos geniet in gerief. Baie dankie, dit was heerlik.

Die brande by Droogekloof, Zwartkloof, Langkloof en Cyferfontein is onder beheer en byna geblus. Die brand by Phala Phala is ook onder beheer. Geen lodges is tans binne gevaar nie. Foto verskaf

MABALINGWE: FIGHT AGAINST FIRE CONTINUES

The reserve shared the following update earlier this morning:

The fire is ongoing on Mabalingwe. We were able to get the southern section under control at around 03:00am and will be focused on the Northern section this morning. Air support on site with a strategy meeting taking place at 07:00.

Fire fighting will continue throughout the day and damage assessment will be done. Owners will be informed as soon as possible. We estimate that the houses lost are 50+.

We will allow entrance to owners wanting to come through. At this stage it seems safe to travel and the R516 is open again.

Loss of game will be investigated and assessed today, as well as grazing loss.

* Map: scale 1cm = 5km. The orange colour indicates fire and burnt areas, although the fire is still continuing to spread.

Lovely winter break.

I stayed in Pumba Chalet A and it was lovely. It is a small unit, which is very clear from the pictures, but it has all of the amenities needed and more. We found the unit to be clean, the housekeeper friendly and helpful. Chantelle R***r July 2023
