It’s September, and that means celebrations – a new season, the blessing of rain and bountiful blooms in the garden!

This month, we celebrate our heritage through food, travel, locally made creations and beautiful people in our community starting with KZN tourism queen Briony Smith, who shares her favourite local outdoor escapes and eateries. We also get to know female touch rugby pro Mengka Singh, share a magnificent tribute to Michaelhouse and learn about managing pain from occupational therapist and author Helen Roome.

There’s colourful beauty; we plate up tradition with a few tasty twists; naturally rock nature with locals who’re spreading the love through useful and artful accents; and take a family-friendly trip to the berg.
