Early morning, 400m from Satara Camp entrance. These are the moments lived for. 3 Male Lions, 7 Females and 3 Cubs to start the day off.

This is the famous Satara pride that is home to Casper the White Lion albeit he's not in this scene but his brother Footloose, Casanova and Mfowethu are with wtge pride.

Known to most as a "White Rhino" has based on the Sanparks Kruger census results from November 2023, seen a decline of almost 90% due to poaching. They are now on par with the Lion population.

My absolute favorite bird the Malachite Kingfisher (Alcedo cristata).

I'm always asked which my favorite bird is and my answer is always any bird that has 3 colors and less but is able to really pull them off like some of the Robin Chats or Violet Backed Starling etc. This bird however was my first piece of art when I was 8 and has always followed through life so I've grown a special affinity with it.
