Look out for the London cabs!

Frances was fortunate enough to witness the City of Cape Town signing the Responsible Tourism Charter yesterday! We're excited for the positive impact this can make for our industry. Keep an eye out for the new City of Cape Town logo - being featured even as far as London on their black cabs!

Fran also got to meet the Mayor of Cape Town, Geordin Hill-Lewis - and even snagged a picture!

Lut De Witt, former co-director, wishes Into Africa well as we open a new door:

"As Into Africa is embarking on a new chapter, I want to take a moment to share some personal reflections and exciting news about the future of the company. It's been 8 years since I left Into Africa, but during that time, the company has never been far from my thoughts. The memories, challenges, and achievements we've shared have always remained close to my heart.
After many years of passionate dedication to the job and unwavering loyalty to Nick and myself, Frances and Alex are poised to continue the Into Africa adventure. Their commitment and hard work have been instrumental in sustaining the company's growth and success. They embody the values that have always defined us: ethical standards, integrity, and a long-term commitment to our clients and suppliers.

The time has come to lead Into Africa into a new era. With Alex and Frances at the helm, I am excited about the possibilities for the company. Their vision, combined with the solid foundation we've built together, will guide them towards new opportunities and continued growth. I look forward to seeing what the future holds under Frances and Alex's leadership and wish them the best of luck as they take on this new responsibility."

"After working closely with Lut and Nick for 20 years I feel honoured and excited to be given the opportunity to not only be a shareholder since 2019 but now leading the company into a new chapter.  I could not have asked for better mentors.  Alex and I have worked closely now for many years and have individual strengths which we both gain from each other … as for our team behind us, this speaks volumes – they are without a doubt one of a kind to work with."

"This new chapter is an exciting time for Into Africa as a company.

Frances and I have spent years working side by side with both Nick and Lut and hope, alongside our team, to take the knowledge and experience gained into the future. Into Africa will remain as DMC known for its tailor made, bespoke experiences across both its leisure and business events division focusing on enhancing our clients’ interactions within the destination. We feel very proud to be leading this amazing team of individuals."

Into Africa has some big news to share! Hear it from cofounder and former director, Nick Buckland:

"Changing of the Guard

I am delighted to announce that Alex and Frances will be taking over the running of Into Africa. They have both been shareholders in the company since 2019 and have proved themselves in the most difficult of times. There couldn’t have been a more testing period than the COVID years.
Over the next 4-5 years Alex and Frances will acquire the balance of the shares in Into Africa.

I believe the strength of the team we have at Into Africa is what sets us apart. Frances and I have worked together for 20 years and Alex and I, 12 years. I will remain actively involved in the business over this period ensuring continuity and a smooth transition. This continuity is so important and I am really pleased to be handing over the reins at Into Africa to these dedicated and capable professionals."

This San rock art site is found just above one of the largest rock pools in South Africa in the Groot Winterhoek mountains.

The San people are indigenous to Southern Africa, being the oldest culture to originate from this region. Their artwork allows a deep insight into their history and traditions and is well worth exploring if you happen to be visiting an area with known rock art sites!
