Die Weinregion Worcester umfasst eine Rebfläche von etwa 17.000 Hektar, was etwa 20% der gesamten Rebfläche Südafrikas ausmacht. Hier werden fast 27% der gesamten Wein- und Spirituosenmenge des Landes produziert. Worcester ist der größte Distrikt bezüglich Rebfläche und Weinmenge und vmehrere Genossenschaften, 11 Weingüter und zwei Olivenölproduzenten.

Die spezifischen klimatischen Bedingungen und Bodenarten der Region spielen eine entscheidende Rolle für die Qualität der Weine. Mit einer Wärmesumme von 1 980°C Tagen (IV), einer kontinentalen Temperaturdifferenz von 10,4°C und einer jährlichen Niederschlagsmenge von 201 mm, davon 87 mm im Sommer, bietet diese Worcester hervorragende Bedingungen für den Weinbau.

Die Böden in der Nuy-Region klingen für unsere Ohren ungewöhnlich: sie bestehen hauptsächlich aus quartärem Alluvium und Bokkeveld-Schiefer. Die dominierenden Bodentypen sind fruchtbare Dundees, kalkhaltige Etosha- und Gamoep-Böden, rotbraune Oakleaf-Böden sowie steinige Glenrosa-Böden. Diese Vielfalt an Bodenarten trägt zur dem einzigartigen Charakter der Weine bei.

The Worcester Wine and Olive Route is a gem on the eastern edges of the Cape Winelands, celebrated for its award-winning wine estates and world-class olive producers. This area has a Mediterranean-like climate and a relaxed country atmosphere, perfect for enjoying food and wine pairings, cheese platters, hearty meals and olive tastings.

Stettyn Family Vineyards, are a historic landmark established in 1714 and owned by the Botha family since 1818. This modern facility focuses on quality, and produces wines that capture the terroir of the region tastefully​​. It was one of the first in the area, going through a handful of changes over the centuries and 8 generations of family.
