Livingstone Tourism Association is seeking a dynamic and vibrant Social Media Champion to join our team on a part-time basis.
As a prominent player in the tourism industry, we recognise the importance of maintaining a strong social media presence to engage with our audience and promote our association's initiatives.

Objectives;
1. To increase our association's visibility and reach on social media platforms.
2. To engage with our audience to build a strong community of supporters and advocates.
3. Promote our events, programmes and initiatives to attract more participants and members.
4. Enhance our brand image and reputation through creative and impactful social media campaigns.

Responsibilities;
1. Develop and implement a social media strategy to achieve our social media goals and objectives.
2. Create engaging content for our social media platforms, including posts, stories and multimedia content.
3. Monitor and respond to comments, messages and inquiries on our social media channels.
4. Analyse social media metrics to evaluate the performance of our campaigns and make recommendations for improvement.
5. Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in social media marketing.
6. Create the monthly newsletter; gather all information and activity that the association has taken part of and document it fully in a monthly newsletter to be shared with members and social media platforms.
7. Manage the website; make sure all paid up members are on the website and their visibility present. With all members and LTA information, promotions and up to date details, available for all to find whenever they search for everything LTA.

Qualifications;
1. Proven experience as a social media manager or similar role.
2. Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
4. Conversant with Adobe Illustrator.
5. Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative ideas.
6. Experience with social media analytic tools.
7. Locally based.

Details;
Position: part time social media internship.
Hours: 2 days in a week.
Duration: 6 months.
Compensation:K1500

Zambia and Kenya have signed MoUs to promote tourism cooperation. These agreements focus on sharing best practices, marketing strategies, and facilitating joint tourism ventures to strengthen tourism sectors.

Ministry of Tourism in Zambia and the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife in Kenya held bilateral meetings to enhance tourism development between the two countries. These meetings were held in Livingstone from 3rd to 6th June 2024.

The Livingstone Tourism Association was invited to a presentation on this.

Present at the event were; the Ministry Of Tourism (Zambia), the Ministry Of Tourism and Wildlife (Kenya) the Kenya Tourism Board, Kenya Tourism Federation, Tourism Council of
Zambia, Zambia Tourism ,
Livingstone Tourism Association , National Heritage Conservation Commission and the National Musuem.
