Zimbabwean people dance for all kinds of reasons - to mourn, to celebrate, to heal, to give thanks, to preserve cultural heritage and treasured legends, to demonstrate physical prowess, to assert individuality, to provoke and to entertain.
In this video a group of young creatives came together to show cultural heritages around the country .
As some of you may have noticed that is the Harare Toposcope Kopje .At the time of the Pioneer Column's occupation in September 1890 ,the Kopje belonged to Chief Gutsa 's people who had taken possession from Chief Mbare after they defeated him in a skirmish.The are no Iron Age building still standing at this site but it remains a well known landmark.
It was at the Kopje that the British settlers set up the Union Jack after displacement and massacre of the Mbari Clan .
Today the Kopje is a popular site for fitness enthusiasts offering a beautiful aerial view of the city .
