Makchester Tours & Travel celebrated the 40th birthday of their CEO with an exciting soccer tournament.
United Arab Emirates based leading travel agency Makchester Tours & Travel, whose global presence is in South Africa, the UAE, and Zimbabwe, successfully hosted a soccer tournament to celebrate the founder’s 40th birthday last Saturday.
The event which was held on October 26, at Zayed Sports City was a celebration of the company’s founder founder, Chester Makwanya.
The Super Cup tournament drew a crowd of nearly 260 spectators who witnessed an intense competition between four talented teams.
The teams included Abu Dhabi All Stars, AfroAsian Ballers, Dubai 263, and Soccer Lovers FC.
According to the organizers, the tournament showcased a diverse range of players from Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Ghana, the Philippines, Malawi, and other nationalities.
The final match was a thrilling encounter, with AfroAsian Ballers emerging victorious and claiming the coveted Super Cup trophy.
It was the team’s exceptional teamwork and individual brilliance which were key factors in their success.
Individual Awards included:
Player of the Tournament: Asamoah Gyan (Ghana, Soccer Lovers FC)
Top Goal Scorer: Daniel Bganya (Zimbabwe, AfroAsian Ballers)
Goalkeeper of the Tournament: Mohammed (Dubai 263)
Mr. Makwanya expressed his gratitude to all the participating teams, sponsors, and fans for their contributions to the event's success.
He also announced plans to make the Super Cup an annual event, aiming to expand the tournament and involve more teams in the future.
