An amazing species that has been part of my active working life and career for over 4 decades. We are blessed to witness the slow comeback of the Southern African populations of Black and White Rhinos in Zimbabwe. A big shout out to all the current manifold players in the wildlife industry making this a reality .

It was amazing to witness how the species plays an important and pivotal role in seed dispersal of one of the bigger tree epiphytes where the troop was literally gluttoning out on ripe fruits. The sweet external soft flesh hides a very sticky seed that one can be seen being wiped off onto the branches of trees, so ensuring that the epiphyte has another chance of its seeds germinating in the upper branches of trees where it resides .

What would Aftica be without its Big5?, and the phenomenal African Lion. White knuckle moment capturing this scene on an IPhone and realizing why they have rightly earned the accolade of KING OF THE BEASTS ..

The amazing Taita Falcon seen on our current Eastern Highlands trip and a Scarce and Mottled Swift . Super rare hepatic Asian Lesser Cuckoo shot , and a poor back of screen of another Asian Lesser Cuckoo also seen same time , wow what a bonanza of Cuckoos today with a Barred Long-tailed Cuckoo avoiding a photo shot .
