Baobab ridge Game Corridor

A resident on his way to Nyamhunga has just seen 2 of the 3 girls crossing the main road into the Corridor that runs past the summerset road and down the Tamarind / Cutty Sark road.

PLEASE SHARE

These lions often pass through this corridor or stay for a week or 2, especially when they have cubs, which we understand from a previous report that the 1 girl does have cubs.

It is advised that all residents/public must be on high alert when walking and walk with a minimum of 2 people.
Whilst you should BE AWARE AND ALERT at all times, be especially AWARE AND ALERT at these times…... They normally move from mid-afternoon through the night and early morning to about 9am., but Lion can at times be seen moving during the day,
Do not walk AT NIGHT and do not walk on your own at any time, always walk with 2 or more people.
People should stay on the roads and avoid using pathways through the bush.
Those who use the bush for their church gathering are also strongly encouraged to avoid such places and to be alert and fully aware of their surroundings.
National Parks and KAWFT would like to remind all Residents and Visitors that Kariba is within a Parks Wildlife area.
Lion and other predators are seen frequently in this area and further out.

The public is encouraged to submit all sightings of lion so that their movements can be monitored.
