This is unquestionably an activity to add to your bucket list when in Victoria Falls. Relive the historical journey taken by David Livingstone by exploring the mighty Zambezi aboard the Ra-Ikane. Named after his guide, the boats are full of old world charm, setting a romantic and intimate setting whilst you sit back, relax and take in the surrounding views. With a maximum of 16 seats available on

each boat, the Rai-Kane offers a unique vantage point for viewing birdlife and wildlife up-close on the islands along the river.

The Ra-Ikane fleet pays homage to the rich history of Victoria Falls and its early explorers. Fashioned after David Livingstone’s exploration boat, the Ma-Robert, these elegant vessels are named after Lazarus Ra-Ikane, the guide who played a pivotal role in Livingstone’s discovery of the Falls. Designed with a shallow monohull, the boats offer a unique cruising experience, allowing guests to explore the Zambezi River up close while reflecting on its historical significance.
