The Korean Club successfully organized a number of events, including hosting the Korean Comedian Won Ho Chung, in an event that attracted most ZU student. Working with the Korean Embassy and UAE loves Korea network, the Korean Club members had the pleasure of attending a number of the Korean events in the UAE, such as cultural event; and were given the chance to study the Korean Language in Korea.
In 2010, King Sejong Institute cooperated with Chungnam National University along with Zayed university to open “King Sejong Institute” in Zayed University. The lessons are taught by Miss Miyoung Gim, who came from Chungnam University to teach the Korean culture and language. Some of the Korean Club members also had a trip to south Korea, where they visited some of the important universities, schools, companies, hospitals, cultural attractions and fun zones, in an attempt to experience the Korean culture in its place, and for a lot of us, that was a dream came true!!! The Korean Club also organized the First Abu Dhabi Korean Film Series that ran from December 18 – 20, 2010, and it showed three of the most successful movies that emphasize the Korean culture. In March 13, 2011, The Korean Club had the honor of meeting the First Lady of South Korea, who came in a visit to Zayed University. She opened the First Korean Day, attended a Korean Class, and she participated in promoting the Korean Food.
