Phuket 🇹🇭💕

We looked at sooo many hotels and areas to stay in Phuket before we booked and I can’t recommend the JW Marriott Resort & Spa enough 👌🏻

Having stayed in Athens 🇬🇷 multiple times, this time was a whistle stop tour.
We flew into Athens and stayed at the Sofitel hotel at the airport, we took the metro into Athens which takes about 40mins and costs about 8 euros, kids under 6yrs are free.

We hoped to show our son the Acropolis but the que was HUGE and we didn’t have time to wait in-line for a few hours 🫤 (maybe next time)
We did go to the Olympic Stadium which he loved tickets are 10 Euros each and again kids under 6yrs are free.

Time for a quick bit of lunch, then we took a taxi back to the airport to collect our car hire🚗 , follow us on the next stop📍of our big fat Greek adventure 🇬🇷…

We’re just back from 5nights in Salalah, Oman - could we have stayed longer? Yes absolutely…
Here’s our review
📍We stayed at
Our room was a Junior Suite room with direct access to the beach 🏝️👌🏻
Our stay was fab from start to finish, the hotel only has one main pool which is a stunning infinity pool but it’s a good size and wasn’t really that busy or crowded. The beach is outstanding and expansive with beautiful white sand.

There are 3 main restaurants and a jazz lounge - we travelled during Ramadan and there were some restrictions with food and beverage so check before you travel to see if there are any religious holidays or celebrations which might impact your stay.

It has a great kids club, with lots to do including a water splash pad, an obstacle course & even computer games for the older children. There was regular afternoon activities at the pool & beach including arts, crafts and flying kites🪁

We flew from Sharjah airport and it was a seamless trip
✈️ flight time is only 1hr 50mins
You can also fly from Dubai with fly dubai but Air Arabia had better flight times and were also cheaper 👍🏻
Or from elsewhere in the UAE - from Abu Dhabi with Wizz Air or Oman Air.

🚕 Taxi’s from the airport is a set 10 OMR charge and our lovely taxi driver offered to take us back for 5 OMR 😉.
Anantara hotel is only a 20min ride from the airport

thank you for an amazing stay, a lovely hotel, good food, friendly staff & great service. My only comment would be food and beverage are on the expensive side, especially the mini bar! 😳

Outside the hotel - there are heaps of tours and things to see in Salalah, we did a dolphin watching tour and also a tour to Wadi Darbat. I’ve gone into more detail in my blog (link in the bio ⬆️)
We loved Salalah, it’s beautiful and we can’t wait to go back.

If you go to Salalah you HAVE to visit Wadi Darbat
It’s absolutely stunning 👌🏻

They say the best time to visit Salalah is after the rains which are Jun-Aug, so a good time to go is Sep/Oct when you will see the area in lush greenery and flowing waterfalls.

📍Wadi Darbat
🌴What to do there;
👣 Hike down to the wadi pools
💧 Visit the waterfalls
🐪You’ll also see plenty of animals around too

We did a half day tour which was tailored to our requirements & I can highly recommend our tour guide, he was great 👍🏻.

Feel free to send me a message if you want any more information on visiting Salalah 😊

This morning we took a boat trip to see the dolphins 🐬

We booked the dolphin watching trip with a company called ‘Beautiful Salalah’ and it was perfect👌🏻

📍The tour departed from Hawana Marina, Salalah (20min drive from our hotel)
💵 It was 25 OMR per adult, children free
🚗 They picked us up and dropped us back at the hotel
💧 Also included water & juice despite it being Ramadan

We were lucky to get a night away together for a couples break this wkend 🙌🏻 and thought we’d try out the new Movenpick Resort on Al Marjan Island in Ras al Khaimah.

The hotel only opened in June 2022.
It hosts six specialty bars and restaurants, three outdoor pools, (one adult pool located at Ula, a main pool and children’s pool) a wellness centre with a fully equipped gym, watersports, a kids club and outdoor park with lots of grassy play areas too. There was a brunch on Saturday in Boons restaurant which is located next to the kids park, so a great choice for your little ones to play close by whilst you enjoy your lunch/dinner or brunch 😀.

We spent the day at the adults pool at and also went back there for dinner. Ula is like a beach club with pool and restaurant and the decor is just stunning 🤩
We also managed to have a drink on the roof top bar which has great views across the resort.

I would definitely recommend a stay here - the only downside was the service was very slow, everything took sooo long to come - (if it even came) we waited over 35 mins for water at the pool and had to ask for it again and waited for tea at breakfast that never came at all 🙈.

Have you stayed here yet?
Let me know what you thought or feel free to ask any questions.

I will also add my review to my blogs, link in the bio ⬆️

We love this resort, it literally does have something for everyone.
There are 3 hotels within the resort - last year we stayed in the beach hotel, which was really nice but I felt the hotel itself was a little dated, however what it lacked in style it made up for in facilities.
This weekend we just stayed in the Lake View hotel, which was much more modern and stylish, with infinity pools overlooking the golf course & a roof top bar 👌🏻.
There is a buggy transfer across the resort and you can use the facilities all over; including the 26 restaurants and bars 🤩.
Since our last visit the resort also now features a kids splash park & splash pad and a new beach bar called Sandbar.

So in short, you’ve got a golf course, a beach, a marina, places to walk, greenery & nature with animals roaming around (we saw peacocks & gazelles), a children’s club, play park, mini golf, splash park & splash pad, gym, spa, equestrian centre, shooting club, family & adult only pools and tons of places to eat and drink, what is not to love 🤷🏻‍♀️🤗

We are trying to tick off as many outdoor places as possible before the weather gets too hot 🥵. Yesterday we visited Mushrif Park National Park for the first time ever, I actually can’t believe we’d never been before.

There is plenty to do including barbecue areas, picnic spots and restaurants onsite. There are lots of sports facilities, swimming pools, bicycle tracks, mountain biking trails and a football field, among others, to take advantage of.
There is also a tree-top adventure course called Aventura, with climbing and zip-lines, unfortunately Ellis was to small for most of the stuff but there is a discovery area for the little ones, with a park and trampoline, you can also do a nature trail, Ellis loved digging up the bones 🦴

Mushrif Park ticket prices are AED 3 Per person or AED 10 per car.
Aventura has different prices depending on activity and length of time. We paid AED 85 for 1 hour in the discovery area (this was for 1 adult included 1 at extra charge)

AND plenty of water refill stations 🙌🏻👏🏻

Save this post to your to do list✔️

Yesterday after visiting the farm, we were looking for somewhere close by to have lunch, google maps to the rescue, just 10mins away is a last exit area with food trucks, but not only food trucks, a lovely area with plenty of restaurants including SALT overlooking the water, I didn’t even know this place was here! 🤯

Our trip summed up nicely with those few words ‘I don’t want to leave’. We debated between a beach or city break for half term. In the end we decided to check out Tbilisi for a few days, so we were happy to hear it was a success with Ellis too 😊👍🏻

Here’s a few details from our trip, check out my blog for the full review - link in the bio ⬆️

How to get there;
If you’re travelling from the UAE we flew Air Arabia from Sharjah, you can also fly with Fly Dubai from Dubai but it worked out a bit cheaper from Sharjah. The flight is only 3hrs 15mins

Where to stay
We stayed in the Radisson Blu Iveria which was a lovely hotel with river views, 2 restaurants, a spa and both indoor & outdoor pools. We chose this hotel for the indoor pool for our son but probably would choose another hotel a little closer to the old town, which is where we spent most of our time. It was only a 20min walk but probably too much walking for little ones.
There are heaps of hotels to choose from and also lots of reasonably priced options on air bnb too.

Things to do
- Hop on hop off bus, great way to get your bearings for the city and also great for rainy weather - 60 lari per adult.
- Take the cable car connecting from Rike Park upto the fortress of Narikala. You need to purchase a “Metromoney” card. Cost of the card is 2 Lari. The cable ride is 5 lari per adult return, (free for under 6yrs). At the top you get great views across at the city, you can get a drink or snack, take the zip line, enter the botanical gardens and see the statue of Mother of Tiblisi….

Yesterday we were at Yalumba brunch

is probably one of the longest running & best brunches ever! I’ve been coming here since I was cabin crew back in 2005, I met my husband here in 2013 and here we are again celebrating our sons 4th birthday.

The Sunday family brunch is absolutely amazing, there is so much for kids to do, from pizza making, cup cake decorating, slime & colouring stations, face painting, a magician, a petting zoo and sooo much more….they were in their element.

The food was great & the service was even better, thank you for looking after us

We highly recommend this brunch and will be back again soon 🙌🏻

Prices have recently changed but it’s still an amazing deal
Every Sunday from 1:00 PM - 04:30 PM

* AED 225 per person, for food + soft drinks
* AED 295 per person, for food + selected sparkling, wines & spirits
* AED 365 per person for food + premium beverages
* AED 75 kids from 6-12 years old

🥂Set in the small, rural region of Vlichada, the stylish hotel is perched on a cliff of volcanic rock overlooking the small harbour and is a great base from which to explore. Nearby, family-run tavernas and a bar offer Greek cuisine and a friendly atmosphere. The hotel’s own NoBlu Restaurant offers creative Mediterranean cuisine, including fish straight from the fishing boats at the nearby harbour, while the lounge bar is an elegant venue in which to relax with a cocktail. A member of the Small Elegant Hotels of the World, the hotel is not far from one of Santorini’s lovely, black-sand beaches, backed by white cliffs, and with mesmerising sunsets, while nearby Perissa beach is overlooked by the dramatic rock of Mesa Vouno. The outdoor swimming pool also has natural spring water, as well as a sunbathing area, private deck and a bar and restaurant, facing the Aegean Sea, serving refreshing cocktails, fresh seafood and local delicacies.

I think this might be another of our favourite hotels. I don’t know why we haven’t stayed here before?🤷🏻‍♀️ We absolutely loved our stay and can’t recommend it enough👌🏻
So many personal touches and the attention to detail was spot on.

The rooms
We had booked a Premier Sea View King Room in the Palace tower and were upgraded to a Premier Sea View Suite which was amazing 🤩!
There are two parts to the resort, Julius tower & the Palace Tower. Julius tower offers JBR & the palm views, where as the Palace tower offers uninterrupted sea views.

Food & Drink
We ate at Neptune pool bar for lunch and booked into Demon Duck for dinner. There are also lots of other outlets too (12 dining options in total).
We had breakfast in Hell’s Kitchen which was a la carte and very good but there is also a buffet breakfast option in Bacchanal restaurant too.

Something for everyone
5 pools across the resort including 2 adult only pools, an award winning spa and 2 beach clubs - (although cove beach doesn’t belong to the hotel, separate booking access is required)
Empire kids club and Roam teens club, an outdoor play park, covered splash pad area and access to beach of course.

Why book?
From relaxed, luxury hotel accommodation to vibrant, energetic beach club stays to a home-away-from-home. Caesars Palace Dubai really does offer something for everyone. For longer stays and larger families you can also stay in The Residences offering an apartment style set up.

We love Crete, just recently was our 3rd visit. We’ve stayed in Elounda twice before which is where we got married, it’s a lovely small fishing village, with plenty are restaurants and hotels with stunning views.
This time we stayed in Rethymno, we stayed at Boutique Resort and it ticked all the boxes for us 👌🏻. We booked a family suite main house room and were upgraded to a luxury bungalow suite with a huge garden, both rooms types offer a separate living/sleeping area.

Children upto 12yrs stay free in parents room depending on room type. They also eat for free with an additional tasty corner at the buffet exclusively for 3-12yrs 👍🏻.

The children’s Grecokids club is for 4-12yrs, GrecoJuniors is 7-12yrs & Grecoteens 13yrs+ and offers lots of different types of activities, it’s also open until 10pm on some evenings, offering a mini disco and cinema night, so we were able to have a nice adult meal together in the restaurant which is located next to the kids club, Yay!

There are plenty of restaurants around outside the hotel and in Rethymno town is about a 15min taxi ride which cost about 12 euro or you can even take the bus, there is a bus stop outside the hotel and you can get tickets from the shop for about 1 euro.
Here are a few restaurants that we visited which had children’s play area’s; which makes meal times more enjoyable for everyone; lol
- Myli Restaurant Café
- Marem Cafe Bistro
- Mouragio Maria

If you want to explore more of the island there are also lots of car hire companies just outside the hotel. We hired a car one day and drove to Elounda which is the other side of the Island, the drive took about 2hrs.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Grecotel Caramel and will definitely visit again.
