اپنے دائرے کو چھوٹا رکھیں

ایک مختصر قیمتی کہانی

ایک نوجوان لڑکی نے ایک بزرگ عورت سے پوچھا:
"کیا مجھے واقعی زندگی میں دوستوں کی ضرورت ہے؟"

بزرگ عورت نے جواب دیا:
"جی ہاں، زندگی واقعی بہت مشکل ہے، آپ کے ساتھ کوئی ایسا شخص ہونا چاہئے جس کے ساتھ آپ گھنٹوں بات کر سکیں اور یہ محسوس کیے بغیر کہ وہ آپکا کویی نقصان کرے گا؛ جس کے کندھوں پر آپ رو سکتے ہیں، وہ جو آپ کو جذباتی سہارا دے گا، جب کوئی نہیں کرے گا۔ جو آپکے پاس ہو جب آپکو اسکی ضرورت ہو. جو آپ کو اچھے وقتوں کو بانٹنے اور مشکل پر قابو پانے میں مدد کرے۔"

نوجوان لڑکی نے پوچھا:
"کیا یہ سچ ہے کہ جھوٹا دوست دشمن سے زیادہ خطرناک ہوتا ہے؟"

بزرگ عورت نے جواب دیا:
"ہاں۔ یہ اس لیے کہ آپ جانتے ہیں کہ آپ کا دشمن کون ہے اور آپ اسے اپنے قریب نہیں انے دیں گے۔ لیکن ایک جھوٹا دوست آپ کا اعتماد حاصل کرتے ہوئے دکھاوا کر رہا ھوتا ہے۔ وہ آپ کی کمزوریوں، آپ کے رازوں اور آپ کے خوابوں کا پتہ لگاتا ہے۔ وہ جانتا ہیں کون سا بٹن دبانا ہے اور کس طرح آپ کی پیٹھ میں چھرا گھونپنا ہے۔"

نوجوان لڑکی نے پوچھا:
"میں جعلی دوستوں کے گھیرے میں آنے سے کیسے بچ سکتی ہوں؟"

بوڑھی عورت نے تھوڑی دیر توقف کیا، پھر پوچھا۔
"ایک چھوٹے سے باغ یا جنگل کے درمیان، کس میں زیادہ سانپ اور بچھو ہوتے ہیں؟"

نوجوان لڑکی نے جواب دیا:
"جنگل، ضرور!"

بوڑھی عورت مسکرائی اور پھر کہنے لگی:
"اچھا! جب آپ اپنے دوستوں کا حلقہ ایک چھوٹے سے باغ کی طرح چھوٹا ہوتا ہیں، تو آپ کو اتنے کم سانپوں اور بچھووں کی فکر ہوتی ہے، یہاں تک کہ چوہوں کی بھی۔ آپ جتنے کم لوگوں کے ساتھ گھومتے ہیں، آپ کو اتنی ہی کم پریشانیوں کا سامنا کرنا پڑتا ہے۔ جب میں جوان تھی، میرے دوستوں کا ایک بہت بڑا گروپ تھا لیکن جیسے جیسے میں عمر ہوتی گیی اور میرا تجربہ بڑتا گیا تو میرے دوستوں کا حلقہ چھوٹا ہوتا گیا، میں نے محسوس کیا کہ جب دوستی کی بات آتی ہے تو اپنے آپ کو بے وقوف نہ بنائیں کہ ہر کوئی آپ کا دوست ہے آپ کے بہت سے جاننے والے ہیں، لیکن حقیقی دوست ہمیشہ صرف چند لوگ ہوں گے جن پر آپ بھروسہ کرتے ہیں اور اپنے آپ کو جعلی دوست کے جال میں پھنسنے سے روکتے ہیں ۔"
