End of an era! 😢

Farewell to my partner in crime, Angela, who leaves her Travel Counsellor business today to go back into a corporate position.

Wishing her all the best in her new role - they’re lucky to have her!

And a huge thank you from me for all the support and laughs along the way for the last couple of years. She kept my business going when I needed to take a back seat due to personal reasons and I’ll be forever grateful 🥰

This is the stunning

I was invited to have a look around this beautiful new hotel yesterday and it didn’t disappoint!

About 35 minutes from Dubai towards Abu Dhabi, in Ghantoot, it sits on a private estate overlooking the sea - which really is this amazing aquamarine colour.

An adult only resort, and originally built as a private residence, it truly offers a unique escape and experience away from it all.

There are just 22 rooms - some with direct beach access and others with gorgeous giant terraces. And you’ll be looked after from the moment you arrive by your butler.

A state of the art gym, luxury spa, 2 restaurants, a cinema and private majlis are all available.

And, as a nod to its name, the feel and vibe is very Grecian, with white washed walls and blue and white decor.

A haven of peace and tranquility - right on our doorstep in the UAE!

Sunrise at Wadi Shawka this morning 🥰

Whilst I wouldn’t say that winter and hiking season is here, it was pretty nice out first thing this morning and there were a few other hikers, cyclists and trail runners out too. It felt great to be out and about in the mountains!

I equally hate and thank (well equally - ish!) for this weekend’s challenge which included a hike. Not easy in the UAE in September and meant a 4.30am start and 2 hour drive to and from RAK!

But it also meant that I was back home after stopping for an amazing breakfast by 9am - ready for the rest of Sunday! Which will mostly spent relaxing and doing some work.
