The oldest free walking tour in Armenia; over 9 years of experience. Walk with us around 3 hours and you'll find out interesting sites and stories and even things that are not written in guide books; over 20 Yerevan points of interest and stories (the usual and the hidden places) as well as info about Armenia in general, from history to culture, from art to recent events. We meet at 17:00 in front

of entrance to the Marriott Hotel on Republic Square. Look for the guide with our orange logo lanyard badge. The only way to join our tour is by reservation. Please read all the updated details on our site and reserve there: www.yerevanfreewalkingtours.com

As with all free tours around the world, you don't pay anything up front, but you can tip the guide at the end of the tour. The amount is decided by the traveler.

We had Msalosh (Armenian Lahmajun), Avelukov Aghtsan (sorrel salad), Bazukov Aghtsan (beetroot and dried fruit salad), Vanakhash (yogurt, lavash, onions and lentils), Arishtayov Dhal ( Armenian home made pasta with dried meat), Tpov Tolma (vine leaves with meat and rice), Smbuki Roller (aubergine rolls), Havi (chicken) Kebab, Harisa (wheat and chicken) as well as Apricot Kompot, wine, coffee and a lot of sweets...

We took the pic today on Harapetutyan street, a street that was built mostly in the 19th century, but used during the first republic time (1918-1920) as ministries and other governmental buildings and hence the name; Hanrapetutyan meaning Republic Street.

Gyumri is the second largest city in the north west of Armenia. From Yerevan it takes 2 hours by bus or train to get there. 3 hours by the slow train. GG Taxi has shuttle busses going there too.

It has a beautiful old town and very interesting stories and urban legends.

The night is still young... At the end of #YerevanFreeWalkingTour we go to a local bar, Calumet usually. Last night we were lucky; we had a great concert as well!! (the bar is optional, you don't have to stay if you don't want to. But most of the travelers stay ;)))
