A must !

El Pasaje Rivarola se encuentra en la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, en Bartolomé Mitre al 1300 (Barrio de San Nicolás), se trata de un sitio muy pintoresco elegido por los cineastas locales cuando quieren recrear calles antiguas.
El pasaje se extiende hasta la calle Perón y se distingue por tener todas edificaciones del estilo arquitectónico neoclásico francés. Se construyó durante la década del 20 por la empresa Petersen, Thiele y Cruz.
En las veredas del pasaje Rivarola se pueden ver varias casas que venden instrumentos musicales e imprentas, pero el local que más llama la atención es una antigua relojería conocida como ‘La Chacarita de los Relojes’, pero su verdadero nombre es Casa Raab que es visitada por coleccionistas de todo el mundo. (El nombre ‘Chacarita’ hace referencia a uno de los cementerios más importantes de la ciudad).
En sus orígenes el lugar partencia a la Compañía de Seguros La Rural pero en el año 1957 cambió su denominación por su nombre actual como homenaje a Rodolfo Rivarola, un conocido intelectual argentino que nació en Rosario (Santa Fé, 1857 – 1942). Caminar por este pasaje es una experiencia que vale la pena, parece ser un oasis dentro de una gran ciudad, donde el silencio es protagonista, parece ser un lugar detenido en el tiempo.
La Casa Raad se ubica en Rivarola 134, quien en la actualidad tiene más de ochenta años, llevando más de 65 años dentro del oficio de relojeros. En el lugar encontraras relojes pulsera, de péndulo, de pared, de bolsillo.

Paz by a french architect at the beginning of the XXth century, it is the best example of urban residences built by the wealthy of Bs As . Once upon a time, Buenos Aires was Paris....

We just ended a weekend tour of the City with a lovely family from Sydney , Australia.After 10 days crusing Antarctica on the Ocean Diamond,they visited Buenos Aires before going back to their homeland. First stopover in the tour was in Neotango to buy a pair of tango shoes for the wedding in march !
I am sure they will have fond memories of Argentnia and their people

Buenos Aires Touring ended the year at full speed with several journeys to the fabulous Atlantic Coast: Mar Del Plata, Pinamar with clients. We also took around the Cityseveral families from the US , France and Canada. January will be busy as well with a few boat trips planned in the second part of the month.
Just before New Year , the beaches are pretty empty and so ...we had them for ourselves
