We are back with another profile, this time, one of our mascots, Ago!

What is your role and how long have you been with PHT?
I am one half of the iconic duo, The Modbury Macaws. We have been the mascots for team Modbury for a year now 😎

What is your favourite place that you have travelled to and why?
I love all the places I go with the team (except that time I went to Darwin with the boss and went missing, that was scary). My favourite place would have to be the USA with Bernadette, I got to see so many national parks and met so many birds friends! 🌲

What is the top destination on your bucket list?
Definitely Brazil, it looks beautiful and I have so much family there. 🦜

What is your favourite part of working in the travel industry?
The free holidays! 😍

What is a fun fact about you?
I’m scared of flying! ✈️

What is your most memorable travel experience?
I fell in love when I was travelling in Scotland with Sally and we eloped at Gretna Green. 🥰

What is your top travel tip?
Pack light! You end up wearing the same few things anyway. I wear the same thing everyday, keeps it simple 🤷🏽‍♂️

What is your role and how long have you been with PHT?
I am a Travel and Cruise Consultant and I have been with PHT for a year and a half.

What is your favourite place that you have travelled to and why?
Either Japan or Norway, I loved Japan’s culture, but Norway’s scenery is insanely gorgeous.

What is your favourite destination to sell?
Probably Europe, because I get to learn more about it

What is the top destination on your bucket list?
The list is so long, but I would love to go to Patagonia.

What is your favourite part of working in the travel industry?
Getting the opportunity to travel!

What is a fun fact about you?
I have a Hitchhikers thumb!

What is your most memorable travel experience?
Witnessing the Geiranger and Briksdalbreen Fjords in Norway.

What is your top travel tip?
Go to strange places! You always find cooler stuff there.

As it has been so busy in the travel industry recently, and we have had lots of lovely new clients (and staff!), we thought it would be fun to introduce or re-introduce our team here at Modbury! First up is our Assistant Manager, Laura! 🤩

How long have you been with PHT?
I have been with PHT for 15 years!

What is your favourite place that you have travelled to and why?
That’s tricky! I’m biased, Wales is my home and therefore my favourite place. But outside of that, Italy and Canada are a close second. Italy for its food, scenery and history, and Canada for its incredible scenery.

What is your favourite destination to sell?
Europe as a whole. I love that no 2 trips are ever the same. With coach touring, cruising, self drive, or rail, there’s always something different to offer.

What is the top destination on your bucket list?
The list is still so long, but cruising to Antarctica would be at the top of the list.

What is your favourite part of working in the travel industry?
It sounds corny, but making people’s dreams become a reality, and being part of the process from planning to booking it all, to hearing all about the amazing adventures when the clients return.

What is a fun fact about you?
I can count to 10 in six languages! (Very impressive Laura!)

What is your most memorable travel experience?
Christmas in New York and New Year’s Eve in Times Square. Also, every time I bring my kids back to Wales.

What is your top travel tip?
Pre-book your must-do attractions to avoid disappointment and always book ‘skip the line’ passes for popular attractions.
