Our final visit for quite a while, while we continue our travels.

Our latest update of a bit of bedroom furniture complete.
Electricals all fixed.
Builder coming this week.
New paint job to come in the next couple of months.

Then Glenside will be refreshed after her little lightening incident.

🌩️The lightening strike has inspired a few new items at Glenside for 2024.

🪭New ceiling fans in the Love Shack;
🪭New tower fans in the lounge and the upstairs bedrooms;
📺 New TV’s all round;
👩‍🍳New fridges and microwave, bigger and better;
❄️New blankets in each bedroom for those cold winter’s nights;
💡New lights in the kitchen and all exterior;
👗A new garment rack in each bedroom and
🛌Just a few new cushions and bedside tables to come.

🤕Once the love shack has her wounds mended the entire outside and inside will get a fresh coat of paint and Glenside will be as fresh as a daisy. 🎨

Our beloved tibouchina tree 🪻is in full bloom and the lawn looks fabulous after all of the rain ☔️ , however we are losing half of our fabulous pecan tree this week 😢.

We hope our Glenside friends can stay patient while we work through these changes and can understand if workmen need to attend the property during your stay. We will do our best for this not to happen, but when tradesmen say they are coming we let them come.

Thanks so much for sharing our little piece of paradise and we look forward to hosting you again in 2024.

Our summer on Straddie may be coming to an end, but you can still fit in a summer break before it cools down.

New fridges , TV’s, fans, lights and microwave thanks to the lightening strike are now all in and ready to go. Also a few updated furniture items to spruce the place up a bit. Sadly we have lost at least half of our beautiful pecan tree due to the lightening, but hopefully can save the other half.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Xmas at Glenside. We are loving being back from the west to celebrate with our family at our favourite place on earth.

We have 2023 vacancies from 21st January. Get in quick if you want a summer get away at the quieter times plus February or March.

So the kitchen is 90% finished, but perfectly useable. Just a pantry and some tiling left when we return in a few weeks.

We have vacancy from now until 5/08 and then 26/08 - 1/09.

Then nothing until October. If you are looking for a winter get away get in quick. If you are after spring, October and November are looking pretty free at the moment.

The new Glenside kitchen is almost finished. A lot of rain this past couple of weeks but enough sunshine to give us a couple of short beach, fire and sunset fixes.
