VOLUNTEERS WEEK

To honour and recognise some of our local volunteers, we have put together a video celebrating the wonderful volunteers within our community.

Today we have a snippet below of Christine Wutke. In 1993, Rocky Page asked Chris to join the Riverland Country Music Festival Committee, and she has been involved as a volunteer ever since.

Chris has been a Treasurer and Secretary of the Festival and a volunteer at the Rocky Page’s Hall of Fame and Pioneer Museum since this time. Chris has been instrumental in the running of the Riverland Country Music Festival and Rocky’s Hall of Fame and Pioneer Museum for over three decades.

Due to her ongoing her volunteer work, Chris was inducted into the Maple Avenue of Honour as part of the Country Music Festival after 10 years working on the committee for the Festival and was also honoured as Council’s Citizen of the Year in 2011.
