👉 WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
⚬ Consider staying out of the water and avoid walking near surf-exposed areas.
⚬ Rock fishers should avoid coastal rock platforms exposed to the ocean.
⚬ Boaters should consider changing or delaying their voyage, and review your safety management plan.
⚬ If you’re already on the water, carry the safety equipment and wear a lifejacket and log your journey with your local radio base.

My Dad found this old aerial shot of the Bay, must have been the mid-'20s or early '30s because the wreck of the "Wollongbar" is seen just West of the original jetty and she ran aground in 1921. It also clearly shows the sandhills where a lot of local kids played before sand mining in the '70s ruined it....😪 photographer unknown

Not a bad way to end the weekend. Sunset over the stunning Watego's Beach, Byron Bay last night.
Decided to get some sunset pics yesterday afternoon. Was planning on somewhere on the GC but ended up going a bit further and made it to Byron in time for sunset. It was a long drive for a short trip but no regrets once there, definitely worth the trip 😊 Love being by the ocean.
