Country halls are the hub for local people to gather for entertainment, yoga, fire brigade, live music etc etc. This is the much loved Caldwell hall which is and has always been the centre of life and activities in the Caldwell area.
A particularly important meeting place for the Caldwell Ladies guild and you can hear about their amazing story in episode 3 of the Backroads trail podcast.
In this third episode of the Backroads Trail Podcast we chat with longtime members of the Caldwell Ladies Guild Shirley Durrant and Barb Goudie and discuss the importance of community.

We learn the history of community gatherings in the region and discuss the importance of being an active local participant. And how the Guild, along with many other local groups, have helped to connect and sustain the people - especially women - of the area.
