Penna Lane vineyard is located just 10 kilometres south of Clare in the Skilly Hills, adjacent to the Spring Gully Conservation Park. Our vineyard is planted at an elevation of approximately 450 metres which provides for a long slow ripening period and in turn results in intense varietal fruit flavours. We follow a process known as 'Trellising' which consists of a single fruiting wire and moveable
foliage wires which enable us to vertically position the shoots for better bunch exposure ensuring maximum ripeness thereby ensuring greater grape flavours. Plantings in the Penna Lane vineyard consist of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Semillon. We even have our Penna Lane's Country Kitchen open for lunch 12 noon - 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday! So come and enjoy a home cooked meal and a glass of wine on our Cellar Door balcony over looking the vineyards, as well as the opportunity to taste and buy our wines! We also offer our locally made "feral" jams and chutneys that have been sourced from the wild fruit trees that are found throughout the Clare district.
