β΄οΈ Experience the untamed beauty of Cape Woolamai with our one-hour Cape Cruise. This week, cruises depart from San Remo jetty at 10:45 am on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. A great way to explore this rugged headland!
πΊ Make sure to tune into Postcards at 5:30pm on Channel 9 this evening as Shaynna Blaze shares her favourite spots to visit on Phillip Island.
π± We had a great time at our second annual tree planting day organized by Bass Coast Landcare Network at the Bass River Garden! Together, we planted 750 plants in the new Conservation/Seed orchard and wetlands.
Thanks to donations through our Tree in Cart program, can collections, onboard donations, and matching funds, 333 indigenous plants were added to boost local biodiversity.
Weβre excited to continue growing this program and give back to the community.
Just over a week until our kick-off! During these trips, we often spot Humpback whales travelling with their calves. These young whales will stay close to their mothers for about a year after birth, learning the migration route as they make their way south. ππ
Our Phillip Island whale season has concluded, but you can still enjoy an adventure visiting thousands of playful seals on a Phillip Island Seal Cruise or exploring the scenic beauty of Cape Woolamai on a Cape Cruise. π¦

ππ If you've been following our whale sightings, you might have noticed an exciting development yesterday.
Our crew and passengers on the Winter Whale Cruise had a unique experience with our first-ever sighting of a Pygmy Blue Whale off the Phillip Island coast. These whales are an Australian-specific subspecies of Blue Whales, slightly smaller and reaching around 24 meters in length.
In addition to this remarkable sighting, we observed breaching Humpback Whales and documented another calf.
There's only one week left of Phillip Island whale cruises, but you can continue on our whale-watching journey at Wilsons Prom with cruises departing Port Welshpool starting August 23rd.
π³ A sole breach on Wednesday's Dolphin & Whale Cruise. Thanks, IanR photography!
Our Citizen scientists have been hard at work this season, recording over 80 whale flukes so far! 23 of these have been matched with flukes from other photographers and previous years on Happy Whale, spanning locations from Tasmania to Sydney, the Gold Coast, and even off Broome, WA.
